Starting May 1, 2015 students are allowed to wear a dojo t-shirt to karate classes in place of the white gi top. Dojo t-shirts can be purchased at the dojo. Note: Full karate uniforms must still be worn at gradings, tournaments and seminars.

Tournament Classes:

There will be tournament classes offered Saturday April 11 and Saturday April 18 in preparation for the Spirit of Karate Classic. Tournament classes will begin at 12:00 and go until 12:30. Tournament classes focus on improving kata, weapon kata, sparring and team kata skills. Tournament class attendance is NOT required to enter a tournament but rather another opportunity to practice before competing.

The Spirit of Karate Classic: April 25, 2015

Saturday April 25, 2015 is the Spirit of Karate Classic in St. Catharines. All karate students are welcome to participate. Be sure to pre-registration for an entry discount. The divisions in this tournament are kata, weapon kata and sparring. The tournament will begin at 10:30am. Good luck to all of our Cambridge Martial Arts Academy competitors!

Grading: April 17, 2015

Friday April 17, 2015 is grading. There will be no regular classes due to the grading. Kid’s grading starts at 5:00pm. Adult’s grading starts at 5:30pm. The dojo will open at 4:30pm. Please come early to register for your grading, warm up and practice.

March Break Camp

The Cambridge Martial Arts Academy is offering a March Break Day Camp. The camp is from Monday March 16, 2015 to Friday March 20, 2015 beginning at 8:00am and ending at 4:00pm. The camp will consist of various karate classes in addition to swimming, bowling, mini-golf and more. There are a limited number of spots available for the March Break Day Camp so please sign-up right away so you don’t miss out! The sign-up sheet for the Cambridge Martial Arts Academy March Break Day Camp will be posted in the Parent’s Lounge on Saturday January 24, 2015.

The Ontario Karate Challenge: February 21, 2015

Saturday February 21, 2015 isthe Ontario Karate Challenge in Brantford. All karate students are welcome to participate. The sign-up sheet is posted in the parents’ lounge for anyone who wishes to compete in the tournament. Be sure to pre-registration by Sunday February 1, 2015 for an entry discount.
